Story of Salvation
I was blessed to be raised in a family with a long and rich history of faith but it wasn’t until high school that the Lord grew the seeds of faith that had been planted throughout my childhood. I attended a Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp in 10th grade and The Lord made me realize that my faith had to be my faith, not my family’s faith. Even as my relationship with God grew in high school, the Lord used my time at Messiah College to really teach me that “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). It is for His glory and kingdom I must live, not my own. The Lord is gracious and loving, and I wait with eager anticipation to see how He continues to move in and through me. To God be the glory!
Life & Family
I grew up on a plantation in Virginia as one of 5 brothers, and moved to Pennsylvania when I began college. I graduated from Messiah College in May 2011 with a degree in Christian Ministries (including a double concentration in Youth & Congregational Ministry), and a minor in Business. I was a student ministries intern at Hope for a few years before joining Hope's staff full time in 2011. I had the joy of marrying my beautiful wife, Kristine, in August 2011.
Prayer for Hope Community Church
My prayer is that if Hope Community Church ceased to exist, the void created could not be filled. Not because we are so amazing or great, but because the love of Christ is so tangibly displayed in all areas of the church’s life. May the Holy Spirit use us to help our community flourish and grow in a way that is only possible because it is from God.
Role at Hope Community Church
I oversee Student Ministries and the Worship Arts Ministry. My wife and I are passionate about bringing the Gospel to life by growing discipleship-based relationships and providing opportunities for students to minister in both the church and the community- that their lifestyles may be marked by the love of Christ to the glory of God. Whether working with teens or adults, It is my goal to equip the saints for ministry.
