Laurel was an early member of Hope, who was called to the mission field in September 1996. She has served with Wycliffe Bible Translators in many different capacities as a linguistics translation worker, administrative assistant and most recently a language programs coordinator. Laurel currently serves in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Africa.
Tom & Sandy were members of Hope who committed to be long-term missionaries in Oaxaca, Mexico in December 2004 with Wycliffe . Tom served as general maintenance technician. Sandy worked in an administrative capacity and at a birthing center to care for young moms. They are currently training to bring the gospel to those with addictions in Mexico.
Billy & YashmÃn serve with Scripture Union Peru. Billy was among the first volunteers to walk Lima’s dangerous streets over 25 years ago in search of street boys who needed a home. Billy now serves as the Developmental Manager for a region of South America. His goal is to expand the ministry, to take Christ’s message to the people of Ecuador, Colombia, & Bolivia.
David is the president of Crossing Cultures International. While studying language & culture in Mindanao, Philippines, the Lord gave him a vision for equipping and multiplying pastors and church leaders. By God's grace, this ministry has 275 training classes in 20 countries, with 4,000 pastors and church leaders in training and 2,000 pastors & leaders having completed this training.
The Vinings live and serve in Peru with Scripture Union to minister to street boys. Jonathan will oversees the maintenance & construction of boys homes, working alongside locals to maintain the properties. Jonathan & Amanda will also work with the International Relations department to help lead & interpret for short term teams.
